Personal Statement

Hi, I am a Junior at Apple Valley Highschool. I am captain of Valley Blaze Lacrosse and starting defender #16. I joined lacrosse in 7th grade and immediately fell in love with the sport. I made the Junior Varsity team and that year Varsity won state. In my 8th grade year, I made Varsity and I was beyond excited to begin my lacrosse career. Unfortunately my 9th-grade year we did not have a season due to Covid. This year we kicked it back into gear and I was ready to work. We combined with Burnsville High school, where years prior were our rivals. Thankfully enough, our chemistry as a team was unbelievable.  I had a minor setback as I had a stress fracture in my foot and I was out for 4 games. Luckily, I was able to come back during the season and continue to play with my team. Our team, got 4th in our conference where the other top 3 teams got 1-3 in state.  I have always had great teammates and excellent coaches. I am driven, hardworking, eager, coachable, and I cant wait to see what the future holds for me.
