Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Claire Ruter and I am in the Class of 2023.  I have played soccer for 10 years and continuing to play through college is a goal of mine.  I am a versatile player that can and has been put in most positions on the field. My primary position is forward, but I recently started to play as an outside back for my club team. When I think of myself as a player one of the first words that come to me is unselfish. I like to think of myself as a great passer before anything else and I love distributing the ball on the field. I am also an extremely competitive person and will always give 100%. Other than always working hard, I try to be one of the most positive players on every team. I believe having supportive teammates makes it easier for each team to play to their full potential. I am never scared to admit that I am a huge talker and joker, which has always made it easy to get along with others.  I love to laugh and try to consistently bring good energy to practice and games.  My competitive nature shows not only on the field but also in the classroom. I make it a goal to stay number one in my class with a 4.0 and I have accomplished that each and every year.
