Personal Statement

I have always loved the game of football. It has been a part of my life as far as I can remember.  Some of my earliest memories are of attending the Arizona State games with my mom and dad. My entire childhood has sort of revolved around football, in the best way: Saturdays we watched college ball and Sundays were for watching NFL games. As a little guy, I began playing flag football and then pee-wee and could not wait to play high school football. I wanted most of all to play for my dad, who loved football more than anyone I have ever known. He feel ill when I was still in elementary school, but attended my flag games and pee-wee games as much as he could. He passed away in the summer before I began high school and never got to see me play high school ball. It hurts that he didn’t, but I owe my passion and commitment to the game to him. I thank my mom for being by my side these last 3 ½ years and being my #1 supporter; I couldn't do this without her. I have worked hard to improve and continue to develop my game. My ultimate dream has always been to play college football. I understand the commitment, the dedication, and the hard work required to be a successful quarterback, and will continue to devote my energy to reaching that goal.

I’ve faced many challenges in my life, but I am tough, I am resilient. I am dedicated to the game, my teammates and also to myself. I work hard to be a positive role model, to provide positive leadership; To be the one who encourages others to be the best version of themselves by providing support and mentorship. I model good academics, maintaining a high GPA and my goal is to continue providing such leadership and role modeling in college as I pursue my degree.
