Personal Statement
I love to play soccer and I want the opportunity to play in college and then hopefully professionally. I have been playing club soccer since I was 3 years old and I have been playing on a competitive team since I was 8. I am very fast and I have great ball skills. I am right footed, but I can cross and shoot very well with my left foot. My coach plays me at forward and striker. I play at left forward often because of my strong left foot.
I have been one of the top goal scorers on my club team each year. This past Spring I scored 12 goals for my high school's Junior Varsity team and I lead the team in assists with 10. This fall I will be playing for Hoover-Vestavia Soccer Club on their 2007 MLS Next2 team that will be playing in the National Academy League.
I train with Footballer1on1 in Birmingham and I also play futsal in the Birmingham Futsal League. I enjoy playing multiple sports. I was a starting receiver on my high school’s freshman football team and I played basketball my freshman year. I used to play baseball too. I gave up football and basketball this past year to focus on soccer.
I would appreciate the opportunity to prove that I can play soccer at the next level.
