Personal Statement
My name is Tommy and I'm part of the class of 2025. I have many passions in my life like skiing, baseball, and skim boarding but football is what I ultimately want my life to be made wrapped around. When I step on the field it feels like nothing else. It's better than hitting a homerun, landing that new trick on skis, and even riding the perfect wave. There's nothing that can take that feeling away. All I can think about about anywhere is crossing that line that puts 6 on the scoreboard and hearing the roars of my teammates. That is what I am proud about and that is what I consider to be happiness.
I have moved a couple of times throughout my life. It is very hard to move at my age. Leaving all of the friends you have known for years and having to face the unknown. I moved across the whole country in my fifth grade year and it was the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life. I am thankful for it though. It made me stronger, faster, and built up my determination to get better. I moved back the Summer of 8th grade year 8 inches taller and 10 times of a better athlete. My team won our championship 9-0. I was invited to play for an all-star team called GFL in the FBU organization and I was 1 of the 40 that made the team over 150 kids invited to try out. Although I have accomplished much in football I am told every day that my grades are important and I have maintained a 4.0 average throughout the year. The accomplishments in my life have been built upon many mistakes and quite a bit of pain but I am thankful for every bit of suffering I have ever endured because it has built me into the person I am today.
