Personal Statement

My name is Vance and my overall goal is to continue my passion for playing baseball at the next level in addition to furthering my education by obtaining a degree. What makes me a good candidate for your school is my competitiveness and work ethic. As a catcher, I bring leadership, a desire to continue to improve, and a competitive drive each day.   I  work hard in the classroom and on the baseball field. In addition to those traits, I focus on being a team player and continuing to develop my baseball IQ. I continuously strive to become a better player and person.

I am successfully balancing an advanced class schedule by completing all of my assignments in a timely manner, focusing on my diet, planning my workouts, and managing my practice and game schedule.  My academic drive and love for the game of baseball push me to continuously improve and learn. My competitive drive to succeed in academics, sports,  and life, while having fun, will continue to serve me well.
