Personal Statement
Football has been in my life since the age of six when I played my first season with the Erie Youth Tackle Football League (EYTFL). I played for this league until I was able to play for my school in the 4th grade. I really developed my love for the sport by this time. In middle school I had one coach (Coach Adam) who really inspired me to work hard and develop into the athlete that I am today.
Football for me was completely changed when I got to high school. There were bigger kids, more responsibilities and being able to play under the lights. Now, with my junior year of football complete, I have received 1st Team All-Region Linebackers as well as 2nd team All-State Outside Linebacker. I amped up my academics in my junior year and currently take 2 honors classes and hold a 3.6 GPA. I also received 2022 All-Academic Silver Team.
I found that through football I can express my intensity on the field. I love to hit; have a motor and I don’t stop until the whistle is blown. To get where I am now, I had to face challenges such as playing through injury and fighting for that starting position. That determination has put me as two-time team captain. My academic goal for college is to finish with a 3.5 or higher with a degree in Business. What makes my play style unique is that I play like the players did back in the 1950s. I play with no fear and will wreck anyone that’s in my way. I’m always underestimated and I’m able to use that to my advantage.
