Personal Statement

My name is Griffin Connolly. I am a fierce competitor both athletically and academically. I approach these pursuits with integrity, discipline, and an incredible work ethic.

On the court I am a natural leader, great communicator, have a high basketball IQ, elite ball handling skills, and am the hardest working player on every team I've been part of. I am unselfish and consistent on offence, but my tenacity on defense sets me apart.   

In the classroom I am taking the most rigorous courses available to me, achieving straight A's, and aiming to be valedictorian. 

I started playing basketball when I was 5 years old. In my athletic journey I have also played competitive soccer, football and lacrosse, but basketball has always been my passion. Sport has taught me teamwork, discipline, respect and compassion. Overcoming obstacles has taught me grit, resiliency and determination - and that it's the journey that makes us. 

I work seven days a week with a single minded focus on playing basketball at a college that expects and achieves excellence on the court and in the classroom.
