Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Isabella Pusateri, however people call me call Bella. I am a 5'5 CF/2B, and speedy, lefty slapper for the Illinois Stars 16u. I have been surrounded by softball all my life because I grew up traveling to watch my sister's travel team. One story I like to tell people is how I went to one of my sister's softball games when I was only three days old. I was always watching softball at such a young age, so I ended up picking up some things and ended up loving the game.  I started out playing softball when I was five years old and joined my first travel team when I was eight. I have always been at least a year younger than my teammates, so I have to work extra hard to keep up to their level, which I really enjoy because I like being challenged in anything you could possibly think of since it makes me determined to achieve it. It could even been a little challenge over who can eat five starbursts the fastest or something. I will always take any challenge that comes my way and achieve it because I am such a competitive person. I also care for my teammates deeply and wish upon their success even more than my own since it makes me happy seeing them succeed.  One thing about me is that I strive to be successful in my academics along with my athletics. Right now I have straight A's and would like to keep it that way, so I can have a good future. In my future, I am interested in studying communication disorders because I want to help others and hate seeing someone struggle, so I would like to help people be a better person everyday. I am excited to continue my softball career after I graduate and wish to be playing at a high level.
