The defense delivered a shutout and the Law twins scored a goal each a minute apart to start the overtime period in the 2A state title game to bring a state championship back to Chatham. Glenwood beat Benet Academy 2-0 in overtime to claim the 2A state title on goals from Rowann Law and Rylann Law in the first overtime period. Abi Stephens got the shutout in goal for the Titans who won their second state title (2013, 2023).

Personal Statement

My name is Rowann Law and I am a varsity starter for Glenwood High School soccer team, Chatham IL.  My HS team was very successful this season (2023), we ended the season with an IHSA State 2A Championship and won our conference.  I received individual awards for Central State 8 All Conference and All Academic and recognized in Class 2A Final Four First XI. My primary position, on the field is left midfielder, I also play right midfielder, left fullback as well as goalie.  I can shoot with either foot with the same accuracy and my foot skills and speed set me apart from other players. Soccer has helped me not only enhance my ability to work with others but has brought out my leadership abilities in being a captain for my competitive team.  

My collegiate goals are to pursue my education in the medical field and to play women‘s soccer at the next level.
