Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Carter Richard,

I'm a versatile player, a Rover who plays, Corner, Safety and OLB, and I continue to excel , both personally and in my athletic ability.  I've gotten faster, stronger, and smarter simultaneously, but that's what being a student-athlete is at the end of the day.  I value my family a lot, and they are my biggest supporters.  I appreciate the football legacy, my grandfather, Abner Haynes, laid before me.  I believe that you get out what you put into something.  That's why I start earlier and work harder and later.  I love to compete and I want to keep developing to reach my potential because I know my ceiling is high, and I still have much more to offer and grow.  

I know that I also bring a lot to my current and future team.  I want to earn a degree and help my team win games.  I like working on my game after practice, and watching films to study techniques from great players of the past and present, like Jake Ramsey, Deion Sanders, and upcoming star, Patrick Surtain. I want to continue the legacy and set an example for my family and those that come after me.
