Personal Statement
My name is Justin Costa. I'm in the class of 2024 and I attend Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville, New York. I am 285 lbs and 6’2 and I am very ambitious to play on the next level.
I attended Malverne Senior High School my Freshman year and am proud to say my Junior Varsity team went undefeated. After much consideration, I decided to transfer to Holy Trinity because I knew there would be more competition on the field and I would be better prepared to play college football.
My first year at Holy Trinity I started on Varsity at Right Guard but also played Center, Right Tackle, and Nose Guard throughout the season when needed. During my Junior year I started at Center and was the Long Snapper. This season I am playing Center, Guard, Defensive Tackle, and Long Snapper. I am a highly versatile player who is ready and willing to step in at any position in order to ensure the success of my team.
Playing football has taught me many things. It has taught me the importance of teamwork, how to persevere, and what is possible through hard-work and dedication. It is these lessons that I hope to have the chance to share with others. You see, it is my goal to pursue a career in school counseling and coach football at the middle or high school level. I hope one day to return to the game what the game has given to me.
