Personal Statement
Hello, I like to ago by Pete. I have been playing football since the age 7. My first year of Pee-Wee league we were undefeated and the league champs. That season confirmed for me that football was my thing. I enjoyed it and it was fun. In middle school, I was awarded Offensive Player of the Year award (7th grade year), Unsung Hero Award, and Iron Man award(8th grade). I played both sides of the field or wherever the coaches put me. I soaked up as much knowledge as I could. I worked hard and encouraged my teammates to do the same. During the summer, I trained really hard and went to different camps. My freshmen year was pretty decent despite Covid. My sophomore season I played with the varsity team. This time with the varsity secured my spot as one of the starting running backs. My junior year came with a lot of changes, new coaches and a new playbook. I must say my off-season work paid off and it showed during this season.Since the end of my football season ; I have stayed active with basketball and track & field. My plan is to stay active & fit as I prepare for the next season.
Football and sports have taught me several life lessons. I have learned that you have to show up for yourself even when you feel by yourself. I train at least 3 to 4 times a week. My mom made me sign a contract with her that if I do my part she will do hers. This has taught me that I have to be a man and honor obligations. Teamwork is the core to a successful organization. I believe that if I work hard, trust the process and stay focus GOD will truly do the rest. I plan to bring all these attributes with me when I go to college.
