Personal Statement

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to receive a  Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Business Management.  I want to play football, as a fullback or linebacker.  My high school accomplishments make me a good candidate for any team.  I have competed against competitive football programs in the central Florida area, for the past four years.  We finished the 2019 season 9-3 overall and one game shy of the Class 4A Region 2 State Semifinals. I made the Daily Commercial All Area Offensive 2nd Team for 2019.

This season, I helped to lead our team to the Regional Finals. . I was the 2020-21 District Player of the Year.

The thing that makes me different from any other recruit is I am a team-servant leader.  During my first Pop Warner football game I did not make the required weight so I could not participate.  My dad asked me if I wanted to just go home but I said, "No, I am staying with the team".  I decided to serve water to my teammates when they came off the field and during timeouts.  I am committed to serving my team in any way that makes our team better.  I am also a servant off the field.  I served, at my church, in the Media Ministry, for the last 3 years.  Lastly, I serve with my family at community events.  I come from a family of servants who finds joy in helping others.  This keeps me grounded and grateful.

Academically, I'm that scholar who never quits.  Even when things become challenging I find a way to pull through.  My passion for living out my dream to play football, at the collegiate and professional level, fuels me daily and pushes me to work hard in the classroom.  I understand that colleges/universities are looking for student-athletes, not athletes trying to be a student.  I'm committed to working hard both on and off the field.  When given an opportunity I will prove myself, by my actions.  I understand that there may be athletes who are better than me, but there will not be one who works harder than me.  Not only am I committed, but I'm consistent.  I strive daily to be better.  I'm always searching for an opportunity to make improvements.  I'm teachable and approachable.  I welcome feedback and constructive criticism that will only push me, to be become a better person.  I‘m disciplined and coachable.

I am looking forward, to being a valuable asset, to the team who is looking for heart, hunger and humility.  I know how to lead, but most importantly, I know how to listen.  I‘m a firm believer that faith without works is dead. I put in the work and expect results. I don’t take my gift for granted. I clearly understand that I have a responsibility to maximize my potential. I’m ready to work.

I am the student who will give you peace, but the athlete who will make you proud! I’m that guy.
