Personal Statement

Dear Coach 

My name is Sanaan Cuffy, a 2021 incoming senior at Cardinal Gibbons High School. I am a 2-year varsity defensive back for the Chiefs football team. I would appreciate it if you would take a look at my film at your convenience.

I am a two sport athlete as a 3-year varsity lacrosse midfielder in addition to football.  I have worked hard these past three years to improve my skill set and earn the opportunity to play on the collegiate level. I am not a finished product and I’m still grinding daily in the gym and on the field with my Goldfeet coaches locally to improve. Even though my opportunities have been limited by circumstances out of my control, I believe in myself and my ability to grow and compete with the best. 

I have continued to build my resume as a student and will be entering my senior year with a 3.2 GPA. My first SAT score was a 840 and I am currently working with a tutor weekly to improve that score in August. I do also plan to take the ACT exam. 

I am very good teammate, a hard worker and I am definitely willing to commit to a program that is willing to give me the opportunity to compete and continue my education. I plan to major in business marketing with a minor in computer programming. My parents are both college graduates and have been supportive. If you are offering a camp or workout, I ask you grant me the opportunity to attend. I am focused on continuing to work hard and to prepare for the day that I show you, my family and friends that I have what it takes to play college football.
