Personal Statement

For 12 years football has been part of my life and I want to continue in college.  Currently, I am a 4 year starting offensive lineman for the varsity team and have played tackle football since I was five years old.  I can also play any position on the offensive line with my major strength being center.  I have played left guard, left tackle, right guard, right tackle  and on the defensive line as defensive tackle.  

This season I have served as varsity captain which is voted on weekly before each game by my teammates.  I try to be a positive influence on my team and even when we lose games,  I help to focus them on the next competition.  

To keep my football skills sharp, I wrestled two years in the off-season to help with my flexibility, leverage and power.  During my sophomore season I advanced to regionals as my team‘s heavyweight.  

I have always had the dream of playing college football and being part of a collegiate team dedicated to sportsmanship and winning.  I know I will be a positive addition to the right school looking for a candidate with strong athletic abilities, leadership skills and versatility.
