Personal Statement
My name is Jeffrey Sekula Jr I am 6’1 200 lbs and I play Linebacker (inside or outside the box), Safety, and Nickel. I go to 6A Plano Senior High in Texas and play in one of the highest divisions of high school football, playing against d1 and power 5 recruits every week. Against this competition I started 26 games and was awarded Newcomer of the year, 1st team all district (sophomore year) and 2nd team all district my junior year only behind a 4 star Arkansas Commit. My Senior year I led the district in tackles with 137 tackles, while getting 30 tfls, 5 sacks, 2 ff, and 18 pressures as well. I have a 3.425 gpa while in AP classes and taking an online course to graduate in December to get a chance to be in spring football with whatever college is my home.
I strive to be the best in every way I can be in football, my faith, and also as a man. In college I want to be able to develop while playing great football and winning. It doesn’t matter what division it is because every single division has good football and good coaches. My end goal is to play in the NFL and not only play high level college football, but dominate and have a presence on the field that is always felt. I am going to be able to do that by being open-minded daily and being open to coaching, while working harder then anyone next to me.
The most important reason I am a perfect fit for your school is because I love football. I’m obsessed with every aspect of the game. I want to know every single in and out of every play and how it could’ve been played better. I also want to be a coach or personal trainer when I am older because of this. In practice I go as hard as possible and in games I go harder. I love football and I want to continue to play as long as possible at a high level while continuing to improve every day.
