Personal Statement

What sets me apart from other athletes is my creativity both on and off the field. I enjoy learning new things and my curiosity adds to my drive and determination to succeed. Although I have not narrowed down my field of study to one specific degree, I want a major that allows me to express my artistic ability. Some fields of study that I am currently interested in include, Architecture, Engineering, and Marketing. My creativity extends far beyond the classroom. It allows me to adapt and work well with my teammates. For example, shaping a defense full of different personalities into one cohesive unit by calling out and guiding my teammates to achieve success. Responsibility is important for any athlete. Especially a goalie, like myself who juggles sports, training, and schoolwork while managing to still get the job done and exceed expectations. I thrive in challenging environments and love the thrill of competition. My teammates have described me as energetic because I am always positive and riling others up before and during games. I care deeply about my teammates and I’m always there to lend an ear when they need it. These are some of the traits that I would be bringing along to your university and using to represent you both on and off the field.
