Personal Statement

     My name is Talyn West. I come from a military background having the opportunity to travel around to many places. I was born in Germany and lived there for over a year until I moved to El Paso, Texas for 9 years. Ever since then I've been in Lake Mary, Florida. I began playing tackle football at the age of four. Until I reached the high school level, I played O-line, D-line, halfback, and safety. I'm currently a cornerback at Lake Mary High School. I am a hard worker in the classroom as well in the weight room. When football is out of season I run on the track team and participate in athletic training. My main track events are the 110m hurdles and the 300m hurdles.

     In the classroom I am a hard working student who does what it takes to be the best they can be. I have a great taste into history and geography! But my main problems are in my math classes. I usually have a private tutor to help me out with homework and class lessons. When going to college I look to pursue education in either a history major or business major. I'll also like to learn to become more of an open minded person and learn a very new skill set in life.
