Personal Statement
My ultimate goal is simply to play the game of football at a higher level. Football has been my passion majority of my life. I love all aspects of the game from playing, analyzing, to watching.
The grit, drive, and determination that I have is rare. I’ve broken my collarbone, torn my ACL, and then had my other collarbone broken. Many would have given up. Not me. I’ve bounced back and have managed to reach goals that most thought were unattainable. For example, I was the region champ in track for the 1600 less than 8 months after ACL surgery. I am goal driven, and my work ethic is next level.
In addition to those qualities, I am also a scholar athlete. I have maintained a 3.95/4.35 GPA throughout my high school career while taking honors, AP, and dual enrolled classes. I’ve learned how to balance academics while being a dual athlete. Having a good head on my shoulders in addition to knowing the game of football like the back of my hand allows me to easily read the field and the plays.
Last, but certainly not least, I possess the ability to step up and lead. When I see there is a need, I take the initiative to address it. I have the WE not ME mentality, and I want my team to be successful.
While I feel I have the skill set and knowledge to be a positive addition to a college level football program, I also understand that there will always be something that I can learn. My willingness to be a life-long learner will help me become more proficient at the game that I love so much.
My work ethic along with my academic success and knowledge paired with my willingness to learn makes me the complete package. I am a team player, I’ve been raised to respect rules and authority, and I know without a shadow of doubt, that I would be a great addition to a college football team.
