Personal Statement

My name is Madison Aguilera and I am 16 years old and currently going into my Senior year of HS graduating class of 2023 at Miami Christian High School. My goals are to play college basketball and get a great education from a school that provides me the opportunity.

As a student/athlete I understand the discipline and perseverance it takes to be a leader and a fighter and I am committed to making a positive impact on and off the court for my team, community, and this world. Since my mother's passing in 2014, I learned that tomorrow is never promised and that I am fortunate to have a father, family, and friends in my circle that are always there to love and support me unconditionally.

I have been playing the game of basketball since I was seven years old and have enjoyed it every step of the way.  What I enjoy the most about it is the comradery I have with my teammates and their families, the coaches, and players as well as those of the opposing team.  The relationships I have been blessed to build in this journey will last a lifetime as well as the memories and I know there are many more to come.

Throughout the years I continued to put time into the game and I saw my game improve so much that in my 8th-grade year I was playing on the Girls High School Varsity Basketball Team.  The beacon of light shined brighter for me in 2020 when I was selected and played on the Miami Suns Team Larkin Travel EYBL team (Nike sponsored team).

I currently play travel basketball on the Miami Suns South Team Mompremier 17U named after current Connecticut Sun WNBA player Beatrice Mompremier who played at Miami Senior High School locally and led her team to two-state championships and went on to play at the University of Miami then the WNBA.

A few of my highlights thus far in my athletic career follow:

  1. SB Live's 2022 4A Player of the Year Finalist
