Personal Statement
Greetings ,
My name is Jordan Edwards and I love to compete. My first love and passion has always been football. Ever since I was 6 years old, I have played football. I first played organized tackle football at 7 years old playing, running back, receiver, safety, and tight-end. Since then, I have fell in love with the sport. No matter which team I played for, I have learned how to work as a team and how to communicate well with others.
Football has taught me to never give up and that hard work and dedication pays off. Football has also taught me that about accountability and how to remain disciple in your position as it could affect your team. All of those attributes alongside hard work, being coachable, and putting the team needs before my own, has made me into the high school student/athlete I am today.
I would like to continue playing football after high school while earning an engineering degree. Besides football, I love to build and fix things with my father and grandfather. It would make my parents and myself proud knowing that my hard work and their sacrifices has afforded me to continue with the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
