Mount St. Mary's University, Emmitsburg, MD
Just needs a lot of added strength/maturity. Has nice actions in the outfield, gets behind the ball well, works feet well through the ball and looks confident with the ball at his feet. Needs to improve speed through the baseball into throws to add strength/velocity to his throws. Additional arm speed (also through additional strength/maturity) will allow for greater carry on the ball. Spin on the ball is efficient and true, with fingers on top of the ball. Good straight-line speed (60yd time---our track is traditionally kind of slow). Swing is good---solid move forward with his center, has the ability to rotate well, and can repeat his swing in different pitch locations. Has quick hands but needs to keep them connected to body for longer in the swing to increase bat speed and power. Again, added strength and maturity will have a major impact on his production and eventual level of collegiate player. Projection is the ability to play at the D1 level.
Perfect Game - 2022 New York Indoor Showcase
Mar 06, 2022 - Mar 06, 2022
Northeast Supreme Baseball Facility, Chestnut Ridge, NY
Noah Hogan is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Macungie, PA who attends Emmaus. Lean, athletic build with some strength present in his lower half. Clocked a 3.91-second thirty time. Primary left-handed pitcher, full wind up with a small rocker step, leading into a belt-high leg lift. Remains online to the plate with a long stride length. Over-the-top arm slot from a full arm swing, create some downhill action for his arsenal. Fastball worked in the mid-70s, topping out at 79 mph. Curveball flashed vertical depth with 1-7 shape. Continuing to refine feel for change-up. Secondary outfielder, fields off his front foot, carrying his momentum through his throws. Online, accurate throws to the plate as he gets on top of the ball with some whip to his arm action. Up to 77 mph. Left-handed hitter, sets up with a wide, slightly open stance, and a high-hand set. Middle-of-the-field approach with a short, compact stroke. Some quickness to his hands that showcased good feel for the barrel and some impact when he simplified his approach and remained within his legs. Excellent student.
PBR - 2022 Preseason All-State East
Feb 27, 2022 - Feb 27, 2022
In the Net, Palmyra, PA
Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-10, 145lb frame with some burst. 7.48 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: LHH - Wider, bent stance, into the legs as the hands operated pre-set at the shoulder. Utilized a short heel-raise to initiate the swing through a flat path towards an on-plane, two-handed finish. Set the tone for a mostly line drive approach in the middle of the field during his BP round. Recorded a T88 mph bat-exit velocity and showed top hand feel at the plate. Singles approach and drove the ball when getting extended. Defensively: The outfielder worked quietly downhill, fielding off his right and lining the shoulders, hips up fluidly to the target. Released in sequence with rhythm from a loose, H ¾ slot (accurate, 76 mph arm). More power coming in the next 6-8 months. Pitching: LHP - The southpaw started from the stretch only. Controlled leg lift and then created some separation through a good stride length. OTT slot and pounded the zone from 74-75 mph, strikes. Mixed a sharp 59-60 mph CB with depth to it and developing mid-60’s CH that can be a weapon with FB tunnel out of the hand.
UA / Baseball Factory - National Tour (Harrisburg)
Jan 23, 2022 - Jan 23, 2022
In the Net, Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA, PA
Noah increased arm velocity to 81 MPH, lowered 60 time to 7.32, and showed a spike in hitting numbers during his last workout with The Factory. In the OF, Noah has quick/active feet, agile range, and he fields athletically. He works behind the ball well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with carry and accuracy to his cut off man. More pre-pitch actions, and using 2 hands will help improve defensive numbers. On the mound, Noah has good balance, on-time hand separation, and a clean arm circle. He has a repeatable delivery, he gets solid extension on his pitches, and he finishes with his chest out over his front knee. If Noah can work on a downhill plane, and continue to add arm strength, mound effectiveness will get better. At the plate, Noah has a square stance, good balance, and he tracks the ball well. He has fast bat speed, he makes solid/consistent contact, and he hits line drives. Work on load, timing, and added physical strength will help hitting spike.
Perfect Game - 2021 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Aug 21, 2021 - Aug 21, 2021
Riverbank Park , Newark, NJ
Noah Hogan is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Macungie, PA who attends Emmaus. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Slow paced full delivery with an over the top arm slot, slow to fast mechanics with some energy at release, some cross body action out front. Mid-70's fastball, gets occasional cutting action to it. Breaking ball was his best pitch, has good downer shape to it and throws it for strikes, effective when he stays out of the middle of the zone and mixes his pitches, projects to get stronger and add velocity. 7.54 runner, plays the outfield when not on the mound and shows good athleticism through the ball and a quick release on his throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide stance and drops his back shoulder to start his swing, has some hand quickness and repeats his timing and swing plane well, has contact skills. Good student. Hogan (2024) is ranked on the Follow List by Perfect Game.
PBR - 2021 Preseason All-State North / Central
Feb 14, 2021 - Feb 14, 2021
Liberty Arena, Williamsport, PA
Lean, athletic frame at 5-foot-9 135 pounds with long legs/high waist. 7.60 runner in the 60. Even, spread stance at the plate with a flat bat angle. Slight transfer of the weight back during timing; flat path with some occasional inside-out mannerisms with the barrel. Mostly line drive/ flyball results with average carry into the gaps. Peak exit of 85 MPH. Ultra aggressive first step in the outfield but stays under control while fielding the ball out in front. Uses a short pro-step behind with a long, over the top arm path. Improved arm strength showing as he was up to 77 MPH. Controlled temp working from center rubber up to a mid-chest balance point. Moderate to long arm path from a high 3/4 slot. Mechanics repeat and gets over front side with some aggression. Low-spin fastballs for strikes (75%) with nearly 9" of arm side run. Showed both a short action CB and change up in and out of the zone.
UA / Baseball Factory - National Tour (Harrisburg)
Jan 17, 2021 - Jan 17, 2021
In the Net, Palmyra, PA
Noah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he tracks proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through well with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 72 mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with loose spin and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound.

Maplezone Sports Village, Aston, PA
Hogan (Emmaus H.S. 2024). This 5'9" 130 pound LHP sat 69-70 with room to grow as his 14-year-old frame fills out. The event featured 125 participants of which Noah was one of only six 2024 graduates. He held his own on the mound striking out 3 and inducing 2 other groundouts in his 25 pitch simulated outing. In the outfield he showed good velocity of 73 mph with an accurate arm and a fluid fielding mechanics throughout. Again measurables are sure to increase as he matures. Personal Statement

First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me and my baseball journey. I have a team-first approach. If you think you're bigger than this game, the game has a quick way of humbling you. I've been coached and believe in playing for the name on the front of my jersey not the one on the back.

I found myself drawn to baseball at an early age due to the difficult skill set and on how hard it is to master. This game has taught me determination, never give up, and that there is nothing wrong with a challenge. You can fail more than you succeed in baseball and still be considered great, most people who have not had the honor of playing America's game will not understand that statement and would not care to much for it. I find joy in this game by playing anywhere I can, I love tracking balls down in the outfield, and having much command and to be in control of the game on the bump.

I consider myself fortunate to be a part of some quality teams that might not have won as much as I hoped, but have prepared me to be successful in the future. Looking back on the teams that I have played for we may not have looked like we were the best, but I could not have asked for a better family than I had on those teams. My past teammates and I had an underdog mentality. But, I had the most desire to win and succeed and I would do anything for my family sitting in the dugout. If that meant sacrificing my body laying out for a ball, I was going to do it. If that meant breaking up a double play, I was going to do it. If that meant putting in countless hours of work and hyping my team up, I was going to do it.

As a baseball player I am very coachable and have a consistent drive to always get better and never stop improving. As I enter my junior summer season, I want to continue to work to get better both physically and more importantly mentally.

I'm in search of a college program that will push me in the classroom and on the field. I want to play with a group of boys who have an amazing bond with each other and love the game as much as I do. My goal is to play baseball at the most competitive level I can and to ensure that I graduate college with a degree that sets me up for success later in life.

I believe in my faith, my family, and my friends. These are three things that I cherish so much and wouldn't be where I am today without. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile and please continue to follow me as I grow into what I believe will be a successful student-athlete.
