Personal Statement

I have always been a multi-sport athlete participating in track and field, basketball and football. I have benefited from all those experiences from local park district programs, school teams, private clubs, and city and state events. Overall, I enjoy competition, team, challenging myself, exercise, being strategic with my movement and choices, and analyzing the game. It took me a while but I have found my true love to be FOOTBALL. I am ready to compete at the college level and I am registered with the NCAA.

Especially after the COVID pandemic challenges in 2020, I am proud of my success senior year including 7 touchdowns and how widely my coaches used me on offense, defense and special teams. Our last full season in 2019, our high school football team participated in State playoffs. This was huge given Chicago is one of the largest cities in the U.S. and the size of the Chicago Public School League. Our success continued this season. We are conference champions, 8-2 and participated in State Playoffs.

Outside of sports, I am a scholar who performs well academically, a brother to a sister who also competes at the college level, a person of faith, a volunteer, have work experience primarily from summer employment and also run a small online store. I am also the son of wonderful parents who are 100% supportive of my goals. My teachers describe me as pleasant, hardworking and respectful and note that I love to learn new things. I describe myself as an athlete / competitive, fun, generous and persistent. I am looking for the right fit at a school where I can continue to perform at football and pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.
