Personal Statement

My name is Demetri Chester and I am a hardworking student-athlete. Ever since I was little I always dreamed about playing football at the college level and Nfl level. I didn't get into football till 7th grade, but I fell in love and quickly became a star on the field once I started. I have a deep love and intense dedication for the game and I give it my all when I'm on and off the field. 

On August 18th, 2020 my grandmother passed away. It was the worst day of my life. She was my everything and was like my second mom because she was always there with my mom taking care of me. I told her before she passed that I will make it to a D1 college and that I will make it to the Nfl. I'm working hard every day and doing everything I can to make it for her and for the rest of my family. 

In class, I am very hard working and always focused. I work just like I'm on the field and make sure I give it my all to be great. I try my best every year to get a 4.0. 

I want to attend a college that will provide a great education for me and that'll have a great and competitive football program. I'm doing everything I can to make it and I won't stop till I will. I do it not only for myself but for my mom, grandma, family, and friends. I pray to be a great role model to kids of the next generation and to the people who are around me now.
