Personal Statement

My name is Jayson DeLeon, my collegiate goals are to play football at the highest level possible while still being able to acquire a degree in one of my fields of interest. I have a mentality that does not allow me to fail, I pursue my goals until I can make them into reality. What separates me from other athletes is the fact that I do not rely on talent to succeed, I am a hard worker that plays and trains with heart. Unlike other athletes, I also know that football isn't all the only thing that matters when it comes to selecting a college. I am looking for an environment in which I will feel welcomed and will be able to thrive in, a school that offers my preferred majors, and lastly, a football program that I can adapt to and help move towards championships. I am a very coachable player that is fully prepared to have to fight for a position, playing time and face competition at the collegiate level.
