Personal Statement
Hi coaches!
My name is Tabitha Moldovan. I am currently 17 years old and I am a homeschooled student doing running start at a college in Washington state. To me, playing volleyball is always exciting because it’s a way that I can express myself as I can be competitive. I would make a great candidate for your team because I have been told that I play a great game and I play well with others. What makes me different from many others is that all the coaches I have worked with, have contested that I am very coachable with lots of potential, as I am never too proud to learn new things.
I have played volleyball since I was in 5th grade, starting with a community program (BGCE). Through this program I was introduced to volleyball, and I have been in love with the sport ever since. I, as an athlete, have worked very hard and continue to do so, to be the best athlete that I can be. Being healthy is very crucial to me. During quarantine, rather than sitting at home and pitying myself, I stayed active in creative new ways such as using the treadmill instead of going for jogs, jumping jacks and burpees rather than official volleyball practice (which wasn’t aloud), and so on.
As of yet, I have been a straight A student. With that said, I take volleyball just as serious as I do my academics. How you see me play on the court is how I like to take care of my academics and vice a versa. My goal is to continue to achieve straight A’s throughout my education. If/when classes get harder that means I will have to work just as hard, if not harder, to accomplish my goals.
I really appreciate your time and attention in reading this personal statement. Hopefully you got to learn a little bit more about me!
Respectfully,
- Tabitha (Tabi) Moldovan
