Personal Statement

With football I stay focused, work hard, and am dedicated in everything I do. I have always taken pride in my athletic achievements.  Maintaining a high GPA while participating in football has always been my goal.  I do whatever necessary to reach my full potential as a student athlete because if I am not good in the classroom, what would make my coaches and teammates believe I will be successful on the playing field.  Doing so allows me to stay eligible and, set a positive example as a team player and be there for my teammates when they need me most.

I started playing football at age 13 and primarily played defensive line at NT/DT. In 10th grade a offensive lineman broke his thumb and I played at left guard on the offensive line. I enjoyed it, and have switched to the  O-line and now play center and some guard as needed.

I take great pride in being a team player. I work for success.  Given the opportunity to achieve my goal of excellence both in the classroom and on the field, doing what I love, would truly be an amazing experience.
