Personal Statement

My name is Austin Burns and I am looking for the opportunity to work hard and excel in college football.  My collegiate goals are to play quarterback or linebacker for a D1 college, to lead my team to be successful on and off the field, and to achieve championship seasons.  I have played both sides of the ball aggressively throughout my 8 years of playing football.  I feel like what makes me stand out from other recruits is my unbeatable work ethic, my strong character, and my will to win.  Academics are a strong priority for me and I take pride in making high grades in all of my classes.  My academic goals include maintaining a 4.0 GPA or better my Junior and Senior Years in high school, and to be accepted into a college with a strong academic program in my chosen field.  Currently, I am interested in majoring in business management.  My goal is to earn a master's degree with honors.  I am respectful of my teachers and coaches, and this has been instilled in me by my parents from a very young age.  I am a two sport athlete, playing football and baseball.
