Personal Statement
I have been playing football since I was nine years old, always wanted to play at the college level. I am aware that to play at a college level will be a lot of harder work, but I am ready to take up on the challenge by continuously working to meet that goal.
I am always working to improve my quarterback skills as well as striving to get bigger, faster and stronger. I have been nominated multi times to be the team captain and try my best to lead by example. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players on the team.
In the classroom, I study hard to maintain a high GPA. I am currently an officer of the high school student council (STUCO), member of SADD club ( Students Against Destructive Decisions), FCA leadership ( Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and a very active member of the student leadership at New Hope Baptist Church youth group.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the football field. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
Quarterback Evaluation results from QB Hit List
SIZE: Christopher has very good size for a 2024 Dual Threat QB at 6’3” 220 lbs. A super athletic QB who\'s very versatile. Excels at various positions, QB, HB, OLB with skill and toughness. Very durable. A strong running QB who takes on would-be tacklers for added yards.
ACCURACY: His throws are made with sharp precision, hitting his targets in stride. Very good at following routes and anticipating location.
ARM STRENGTH: He’s a sniper when targeting routes over the middle, hitting his receivers with high velocity throws. Able to extend the field with his deep passes, getting it over the top.
RELEASE: An over the top delivery with full extension. Able to generate momentum and increased velocity throughout his arm motion. Good footwork on his drop backs and set ups.
THROW ON RUN: Very dangerous out in the open field. Able to get to the outside with good speed and mobility. Does a nice job turning it up as he squares up to his target.
FOOTWORK: Very athletic QB who serves as a Dual Threat because of his quickness and elusiveness. Very difficult to contain within the backfield, good agility and escapability. Able to create separation with increased speed.
POISE: He displays playmaking ability on the field. With his athleticism, he’s able to improvise while on the go. Very confident in his abilities.
POCKET PRESENCE: Good patience as he waits for his receivers to break on their routes. Will add to his abilities as a pocket passer with more experience at the QB position.
DECISION MAKING: Very decisive with his throws, attacking the defense with strong throws.
TOUCH: He’s able to lower the velocity of his throws, creating a softer release. Solid trajectory on his deep passes with just enough air underneath.
