Personal Statement
I LOVE football and have played since I was 5 years old / My Dad coached me for 6 years and my twin sister has cheered for me along the way (she's a varsity cheerleader). I've played every position including QB, kicker, RB, center and special teams but I am extremely effective at defense as an inside or outside linebacker. I'm mild mannered off the field and love my football family (teammates and coaches) but when I'm on the field I have natural instincts, focus and I am aggressive! I study film constantly and work hard in the weight room to get the edge on the competition and to learn how to be effective at my position. I also work hard in the classroom.
My speed, agility, strength and football IQ are strengths that I hope to bring to my next football family. I'll give the team 110% effort every time. My Sophomore year I fractured my finger in the spring practice game and continued as a varsity starter the entire season ending with 80 tackles and 7 sacks and was voted Defensive MVP by my teammates. This year (with a healed finger) I had 101 tackles and 8 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 2 defensive scores. Running the ball into the end zone is especially sweet! I also broke the 40 yd dash (4.35) and agility (3.8) record at my school.
My goals include playing for a D1 college where football is more than a game it's a family. Where being the best you can be on and off the field is important and part of the culture of the team and coaches. Football prepares you for life and college academics prepare you to succeed after college and football so my goals include earning a degree in Engineering or some science related field.
My coaches, teachers and teammates can speak to my character the best - but know that I give my coaches everything I have and I love my teammates like my brother.
