Personal Statement
Something that sets me apart from other recruits is definitely my senior season. Once COVID moved the Virginia football season to the spring, I knew I had to do something to avoid missing out on a second straight rugby season. My dad and I then made the decision to move to South Carolina for a couple of months so I had the opportunity to play football. It was a tough decision especially to leave my mom, friends, and school behind for my senior year. It took awhile to get acclimated to a whole new team, school, and culture, but once I got used to it I started to thrive in it. I made the switch from playing offensive tackle and defensive end my junior year to playing tight end and defensive tackle my senior year. I was the only two way starter on my team and helped us win a region 6 championship, a lower state championship, and get state runner up for division 4A. I was awarded All-state honorable mention, 2nd team All-Region tight end, player of the game in the state quarterfinals, and two time offensive lineman of the game. It was definitely and surreal experience playing in the state championship and something I will cherish forever. Not many people would have been willing to do what I did. Perseverance and toughness, along with support from my family, coaches, and teammates, allowed me to have the best football season I could've asked for.
Being pulled up to varsity as a freshman and helping the team reach the playoffs was another highlight of my football career. That year taught my how to play and train with passion, toughness, and intensity. I've been playing football since a young age and always dreamed about playing college football. Aside from football, I also made the USA Rugby High School All-American team, and played rugby on the national level. Having this experience showed me what games at the highest level are like, as well as playing with pride and courage.
My goal is to play college football at a competitive level. I am open to playing Defensive End, Offensive Tackle, Defensive tackle, or Tight End. I wish to find a school that is a good fit for me academically and athletically. I am open to many different college environments. I would consider going to schools in a college town or an urban setting. Which ever provides the best opportunity to excel.
