Personal Statement
My name is George Rivers. I am a student-athlete who loves the game of football. I am a "student of the game, " meaning I will condition, study film, and play to get the upper hand on my opponent. I have played football since I was five years old and have enjoyed all of the lessons it taught me. I am a true team player and leader on and off the field. I have spent years working hard to strengthen my skills and increase my speed and agility. I strive for excellence. I am a driven, dedicated, and hard-working individual. This is who I am as a player.
(Senior Update) 2021
I was selected for the Blue-Grey All-American Game in Dallas, Texas, on December 14, 2020. This game was held at the Dallas Cowboys AT&T stadium. I played as a DB and was named the impact player of the game. I recorded 6 tackles, two deflections, and 1 "game-sealing" interception. My contributions to the game helped my team to become the East Coast Champions. Feel free to view my highlights and game footage at the below link.

2022-2023
After high school, I was able to play at Virginia State University as a DB and compete with NFL-type climber players such as Willie Drew (Who was Selected for the Reeses Senior Bowl) and Darien Hagans, who played for the Pittsburg Steelers, Kimo Clark In the NFL Draft, Matty Foster In the NFL draft, and Breyon Graddy is in the NFL draft from the time I was there. I was able to be a student of the game from being around those guys and my former team. Still, I am ready to take over my team from the DB or RB position and be an asset and leader for a team. Being there, I was able to absorb that winning culture, and now, being a transfer, I can't wait to bring that into the next school I transfer to. My Virginia State Highlights will be Below.
