Personal Statement

My name is Ryan Martorell, football has always been in me, since the first time I played catch with my dad at age 5, straight through to the age of 14 when I first put on the pads. My dad inspires me to play football and keep my grades up  however, the love and support I receive from the rest of my family has inspired me to work harder and stay more focused on my goals. I'm glad I joined an amazing team at Fort Hamilton H.S. Starting on varsity as a sophomore has shown me that it's more than a sport. It's family, trust and team work. I know that I will be an asset to any college program that accepts me. I am very excited and looking forward to getting to the next level, both athletically and academically.  I have recently been named one of the captains to oversee our off season work outs. I'm thrilled and honored that my coach has put that much trust in me. With the patience, dedication and support I have, there is no doubt I will achieve my goals.
