Personal Statement

I have always been involved with sports and played club baseball and basketball throughout most of my youth.  I am a well-rounded athlete and have been on the high school basketball, football and track teams.  I was a natural at hurdles and high jump and received the Coaches Award from my freshman year basketball coach. At age 12 I began playing football and it has become my favorite sport, one that I know I will continue to play into adulthood.  Like many others, I’d love to play with the NFL, but for now playing college football is my goal.

My High School team did not have a season because of COVID. Last season, as one of only a few sophomores who played on the Varsity team (Division Champs), I was really looking forward to my junior year.  Although we are still waiting to see if we will play, I recently tried out for a club team (West City Warriors) and earned a WR spot.  Between this team and high school, I work out and practice 3x a day. Off the field I work hard to maintain my grades and have really been focusing on raising my 3.2 GPA. My favorite class is English because I enjoy writing and reading. 

The college team I end up on will have a dedicated player who will work hard and never give up.  I know that respect and integrity are just as important as physical talent.  I’m always all-in and can’t wait for the next level.
