Personal Statement
Gentlemen,
Hello, my name is Colby Garland. First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this statement. I am currently enrolled at Elizabethton High School in East Tennessee. We are one of the winningest programs in the state of Tennessee over the last decade. In 2019 we finished the perfect season winning the State Championship going 15-0. An accomplishment that has not been done since 1938. I would love to have an opportunity to play at the next level, it is my dream. Most importantly, I am a Christian, and I have always been taught to put others before myself. If given this opportunity I know, I could be a great asset to your program.
Athletically, I have been told I have great feet, flexibility, good quickness, and strength. Nothing brings me more joy than being on a football field. It truly has been my passion for as long as I can remember. As for my academics, my parents have instilled in me that this is the most important aspect to attain, in having a successful career. I currently take some honors courses and have 3.8 GPA. I am very laid back, I love my teammates, I enjoy spending time with my youth group, I know what I want, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there. Thank you for your time, and If given the chance, I will not let you down, or make you regret your decision. Because I just don't want to be great, I want to be Elite! All I ask for is a opportunity. Training
- Currently training 3 days a week during season.5 years experienceOnce our season is over, I will be in the gym working 5 to 6 days a week. Normally during this time weightlifting consist of hour and half workouts 5 days, on some of these days I will include technique and fundamental training with Witten Huddle at least twice a week. One day a week I will work with Chandlor Mullins and Adam Mullins who are student athletes at ETSU and are close friends of mine with long snapping techniques.
