Personal Statement
The person that influenced me the most in my life is my dad. He always tries to come to all my games and when I was younger he was the one that mainly helped me become a better football player and teammate.
I became interested in football around 5th grade. I loved playing tackle football with kids in the 8th and 9th grade on a big field close to where I lived even before I got on an official school team. You can say I learned to play with the "big" boys, play hard and never quit. It is a lesson I still hold onto today, as through my Junior Varsity and Varsity seasons, I have been a starter on offense, defense and most recently even been in the kick-off return.
Football has taught me a lot about myself. One main thing is when you don't think you have anymore to give, you always have more. You just need to find it. I live by this every time I walk onto the field for games, in practice and during powerlifting. I will continue to live by this as it will be key to help me reach my goals of Navy law enforcement, police officer, to acceptance in the FBI, beginning with a degree in criminal justice.
