Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Brady Barrett. I go to Christiansburg High School in Virginia, I am also a sophomore that has made great strides as a person on and off the field.  One of the biggest impacts on my life that has made me become more focused and also determined, is when my mother was unfortunately diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma cancer.  Though, that has taught me that no matter what, the world changes if you're ready for it or not, and that you need to always be ready and on you're feet. But my academics is where I plan to make great strides in, hopefully to one day become an oncologist and eventually help to find a cure for cancer.  I am also extremely fortunate to be apart of Christiansburg Athletics, Christiansburg has had a 17 wrestling state championship streak, as well as state titles for track and field, baseball and football.  Which for me myself, I do sports such as football, wrestling and baseball.  I first got into football as a little boy at the age of 4, with flag football. Ever since I have loved the sport and wanted to do more, including other sports.  I think I am fit to play for a college because of my dedication, my will to get better and my drive to overcome any obstacle that's in my way.  Also I have more of a energetic boost than most of my peers, and hope to help in anyway that I can
