Personal Statement
My name is Dawson Kole Parker and I am a sophomore at New Boston High School in North East Texas. My Dad has always told me that God has blessed me with many talents but what I choose to do with them is up to me. I am an athlete not only because I love the game of football but also for my school and my town. My long term goal is to obtain a college degree and use sports as a tool to help me achieve that goal. Short term goal is to help my coaches and teammates rebuild our school program and be something that the people in our small town can be proud of. We may not look great on the record books now but we have great potential to grow over the next few years. I am an active member of Moss Springs Baptist Church as well as our local FFA and 4H chapters. I enjoy FFA and 4H because it gives me an opportunity to reach out and help the local community through service as well as teaching me skills to help future generations through farming and various livestock production projects. I am still growing and learning new skills everyday; with that being said my tool box is not full yet and I still have plenty of potential to learn new programs and use my abilities to boost any program given the opportunity. I have been raised with small town morals and values and have been taught that above all else you do what it takes to make a good hand for the person who gives me a job or tasking. If given the opportunity I will give it my all to ensure that you do not regret taking a chance by adding me to your roster.
