Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old and I have always dreamed of playing at the collegiate level. My goal is to play softball for a competitive college or university where I can continue my education. I understand education is the key to my success. I want to use my skills in the sport to help me reach my academic and career goals. My positions on the field have taught me to be a leader in the game, while also being able to learn from my teammates and coaches so that I can be a better player and person overall.
As a freshman, I completed 1 year in the Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps (JROTC) Program which taught me more about discipline, respect and team building. I quickly promoted and received recognition for academics and leadership.
When I am not playing softball, I attend a Religious Education program, participate in community service programs, and I volunteer assisting youth club softball.
