Personal Statement
Being a graduate of the 2022 class at Olentangy Berlin High has given me an opportunity like no other. The 2018-19 school year was the school's very first year open, making my class of 22 the very first to complete four full years there. This has given me the opportunity to step up and be a leader at Berlin and to create brand new traditions for students to follow in the years to come. One of these traditions was being apart of Berlin's very first softball program, and team. Competing at a high level for high school was a challenge especially since our school had no seniors. That didn't stop us, in fact, it presented a great opportunity and the best thing that learned: learning how to face adversity. Facing hardships is something that will never go away and if you learn how to respond to the issue then you will succeed. I am a firm believer in E+R=O ( Event+ Response= Outcome). In all the years that I've been playing this sport, E+R= O is the most important lesson I've taken away. Not only does it apply to softball but it is a formula to success in life.
