Personal Statement

My name is Ty Pierson. Football was in me since I was in  my mother's womb, thanks to my influential father who introduced me to the sport and has been my passion ever since. It is more than a game.  It's a life experience.  The sport has taught me life lessons such as teamwork, discipline, perseverance, success and failure, time management, and staying physically fit.  These acquired skills and characteristics  make me a great candidate for a college team, as well as requirements to an excellent career.  My goal is to continue to play the game I love and team up with a  prestigious college to help finance my Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine or Engineering.  Academically, I have excelled in my advanced courses and maintained an above average 3.58 gpa. I have learned to balance football, basketball, track, good grades, extra curricular activities, and community service.  I am a well rounded student athlete, coachable, reliable, passionate, excellent work ethic, and my leadership skills  make me unique.
