Personal Statement

     After all of my years as a student-athlete, I have noticed that my influence in my teammates and classmates has been bigger than I thought it could ever be.

     Everybody around me has noticed that if I propose to do something, no matter how hard it is, I will reach it.

    I once made it to the state championship with only 13 people going to practice, but the 13 that really had the will for it. The next year we had a 34 man roster and won that championship. All of my teammates thanked me after that because I showed them that there is always a chance if you really want it.

That is what I plan to do if I get to play football at a college level, show players and coaches that no matter what, we have to keep our heads up and always find a way to be the best team or to show everybody our potential.

     I am now, as a 17 year-old, reaching my best potential and won't stop until knowing that I'm the best at what I do; and since my school has provided me the tools to play more than one sport, I have reached more resistance, speed, and agility because of basketball, soccer, and volleyball. That completes me as a total athlete and very capable of playing this sport. Being a three-time defensive end of the youth football national All-star team, and two-time defensive lineman of the year is also a short-term goal that I have achieved during this life goal.

     Besides my grades, I have participated and won many debates, international meetings with NHI (National Hispanic Institute), was finalist for two consecutive years in the National Math Olympics (Panama), and I am very deep into social service on and off my school with the NGO Techo in Panamá. Since 2011 to 2018 I had 147 social service hours, the best among athletes in my school.

     I will make a big difference at the college I will commit on and off the field.
