Personal Statement

My name is Edward Walker lll and I am 5”11” 190 lb. middle liner backer. Football has always played an important part in my life. Ever since I was 8, I started playing football on the Chicago Park District Junior Bears League. This experience opened my interest to play in many other sports too. I have been fortunate to participate in baseball as right fielder and track and field in shot put and relay racing as well.  As a sophomore, I was on the varsity team as linebacker. Our 2017-2018 season we were 8-4 with an 8-0 conference. As a junior on the varsity team as the starting center, I assisted my team to our first place conference final win. Our 2018 - 2019 season we were 9-2 and 5-0 conference. Football has been my passion and the most successful sport I have engaged in. By playing sports, I have gained leadership skills, become more mature at home, on my team and academically. I have developed strong teamwork skills, in-depth knowledge of conditioning and training and work ethic. I am excited at the opportunity to take my athletic experience to the next level.
