Personal Statement

     My goal is to continue playing football after high school in a program that values the "team" mentality, that places a high emphasis on student athlete character, and most importantly has great camaraderie among players and coaches.  I excel academically when I have the structure of a football program while furthering my studies. My strengths are both mental and physical.  I am a student of the game.  My understanding of game flow and specifics has always been well above most players.  I also have great instincts and technique that allow me to often get a two to three step advantage any most plays, both offensively and defensively. I may not be the biggest or the fastest in my position areas, however, I have always earned my way onto the playing field and played a pivotal role in every team I have played for since I was 7 years old. I am a very versatile player who is equally as talented on both sides of the ball.  Defensively, as an outside LB, I am usually in or around every tackle and my pass coverage has continued to get better and better after getting to high school.  Offensively, I am a very "clutch" player.  I may not be a deep threat and slot, however, I excel at consistently getting first downs and short yardage receptions in critical situations. As a RB, I run well between the tackles and can usually get the tough yards.  I can also be deceptive and both offensive positions. In closing, I strongly believe that if a coach takes the time to see me play, they will see these same qualities and also see the many ways how I would contribute to their program.
