Personal Statement

I am currently 5’9 and weigh 198lbs. My positions have consisted of running back and strong safety.  I finished the varsity season very strong this year.   During my junior year I focused more on the RB position and had great success.   However, I consider myself an ATH because I've been successful on defense as well.  In 2019, I was Defensive Player of the Week, Player of the Game, 2019 All County Team Honorable Mention and 7A All Region Second Team Defense.  I’m a starter on the team and a member of the Football Leadership Council.  I currently have an un-weighted GPA of 4.0, after taking all gifted classes.   I’m also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.  I’ve taken both the SAT and ACT and did fairly well.  I plan to continue taking both tests throughout high school.  Though I’m only a junior  it can be mind boggling to think of what I want in a college. One thing I know for sure is that I’m open to all types of colleges; especially ones that can appreciate an athlete who is hardworking and has a competitive & positive attitude. I’m competitive on and off the field; which helps me with my academics. I consider myself to be a "practice how you play" player. I am also a natural leader who believes in leading by example. The college I attend would need to offer my anticipated major: Sports Management and Business. If I'm blessed to play football in college, that college would have a great atmosphere that would allow me to grow not only as a player but as a person.
