Personal Statement

My name is Andres Dewerk. I have big dreams of playing college football and having a successful football career beyond high school. I am a big kid, I stand at 6'7" and I most recently weighed in at 297 lbs. I saw my tremendous size as something that can take me far in life in with the sport of football. I want to be the first in my family to attend a four year college and make my parents proud of me. I have struggled in the past with academics, I "slacked off" the first two years of high school. But now I see how crucial having good grades are to attracting attention of college recruiters. I haven't missed a single practice in high school, I am a very fast learner. I am a hard worker when I am motivated; I also am a really nice person, the person you see on tape isn't me off the field. I am really quiet and respectful to those who are helping me reach success. You won't regret taking a chance on me, I promise. Thank you.
