Personal Statement
Sports have always been a huge part of my life. My natural athleticism has allowed me to excel in every sport I played, especially football. From the moment I touched a football in the 3rd grade I knew it was more than a game to me. From the summer going in to my freshman year, I was obsessed with being the biggest, fastest, strongest. If I wasn't in season, I would make sure to be in the gym at least 5 times a week to ensure I was the absolute best player I could be when the season rolled around. Not only that, but I ended up having an attendance of 100 percent for our team's pre-season practices, showing my determination and focus I have on the sport.
While excelling in sports is a big focus of mine, an equally big focus is academics. Being in the gifted and talented program since 4th grade, I have had many great opportunities to show myself academically as well. From winning second place in a state math competition to being an IB Diploma student, I feel as if academics are just as important as athletics.
Although I love football, being a multi sport athlete is very important to me as well. Lacrosse in the off-season allows me to stay in shape and make me more athletic before the season.
A very important thing for me in sports in the team aspect. A well built team allows you to have trust and connect with your teammates on a level where you cannot do anywhere else. I would love for my future college to have a family feel that I can always trust and connect with like no where else.
