Personal Statement

My name is Harrison Bader and I have attended the Horace Mann School in the Bronx, NY since Kindergarten, and the most significant thing that I have learned over the years from both my academic and athletic career is that leadership and perseverance are above all the most important characteristic traits. My family, friends, baseball coaches, and teachers have all taught me how to carry myself in the most appropriate nature, both on the baseball field and off. From every tournament to every hitting session, my team and I are left with the saying "Stay humble, stay hungry" to live up to. As a baseball player associated with such an outstanding organization as the New York Grays, I have learned the importance of putting school and one's academics before playing, simply because without strong academics, there will be no baseball. With regards to potentially playing College Baseball, my family and I have decided that there is truly no preference in location as long as the school as a whole and of course its baseball program is the best fit for me; a student, a baseball player, yet most significantly a single representative individual. In terms of my desired major, I find a deep interest in architecture and design. Lastly, my athletic goals are very simple. I want to play at the highest level possible and have my skills take me as far as they can, and throughout every second of that process, I want to have the greatest possible impact on that team. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, and I would like to leave you with the understanding that I am incredibly devoted to the game and will stop at nothing to play at your school.
