Personal Statement
My name is Jake Mayersky and I am a member of the class of 2020. My upcoming senior season I will be playing free safety and quarterback. This will be my third year starting on both sides of the ball. My sophomore and junior season I played free safety as well as wide receiver and some running back. My junior season was cut very short due to a broken collarbone in week #1. I played half of game #2 before the pain was too bad and we later found out it was broken. Due to the injury, I sat out the remainder of my junior season. As a result, most of the film I have available is from my sophomore year. I do have a short film from the first game and a half of my junior year.
I am a two year team captain on the football team and I have also been the starting point guard on our basketball team since my sophomore year. My coaches look to me as a leader on the field and during the off season. I am constantly communicating with my teammates to motivate them to get into the weight room. I am a hard worker and I love the game of football. I I started playing the game as a 6 year old in Pop Warner. Any university that chooses to recruit me will be getting a student/athlete that possesses great work ethic on the field as well as in the classroom, excellent leadership and communication skills, the ability to overcome adversity and a strong love for the game of football.
